XL’s Brilliant Idea

The man behind Pure Filth Sound, Sam "XL" Robson, sits down with host Scott Ramsay to discuss his ConcertZero. Plus, if you've got a  billion dollars laying around, Sam has an idea that's off the charts. Growing up in the UK, in the 70's and 80's, it's no big surprise that Sam got into the punk scene but you'll be shocked to hear what his ConcertZero was. Here's a hint: you need to read between the "white" lines to get the "message".

Remember The Name Nagelhout

He's been involved with music since the age of 12 and now he's an accomplished bassist, music engineer, producer and composer. Rob Nagelhout (robnagelhout.com) joins host Scott Ramsay to talk about his ConcertZero, backstage access and NBC's "American Song Contest". We won't give away his ConcertZero but Rob did get an inside look at two legendary rock bands. 

Snakes Of Joy

The final member of Snakes Of Joy, Lester Lands (@lesterlands), sits down with host Scott Ramsay to reminisce about his ConcertZero. After that, the other two members of Snakes Of Joy, Gregg Sutton (@greggsutton) and Ryan Hedgecock (@rattlesnakedaddy), discuss their new musical project, how they met and the connection the trio had from the start. Sutton’s Stories

Gregg Sutton has been in the music business for almost 50 years. Needless to say, he has a hundreds of stories. Host Scott Ramsay and Gregg talk about his ConcertZero, which happens to be a band that Gregg would work with many years later. Gregg also tells a great story about seeing Jimi Hendrix in NYC. He also gives some great advice for aspiring musicians and mentions the one band that he would have loved to have seen live.

A Heavy For Hedgecock

Musician, songwriter and producer Ryan Hedgecock's ConcertZero is one that most music lovers, especially fans of rock, would be envious of. The founder of the bands Lone Justice, Bedrock and Parlor James saw Led Zeppelin, at the Fabulous Forum, in 1975. Ryan, along with Gregg Sutton and Lester Lands, have a new musical endeavor  that you'll hear all about it in future episodes (as well as Gregg and Lester's ConcertZeros). 

B.A.D. ConcertZeros And More

Brian Burrescia and Dusty Moon (@the.dustymoon) have begun working on a new musical project and it's B.A.D. (Brian & Dusty before you think we're being too harsh). They joined Scott Ramsay in-studio to discuss their ConcertZeros. We also play a track from Brian's first band, Take Five. It's a cover of The Beatles track "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me and My Monkey". 

Ricky Hayes Is Definitely Eclectic

Chief Operating Officer at VOX DJ's, Ricky Hayes, didn't want to label his music tastes as "eclectic" but we will. His first concert was American punk band The Bouncing Souls. Two of his most favorite shows are Garth Brooks and the show "I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell", which featured dozens of artists including Metallica, Miley Cyrus and Dave Grohl. With that kind of musical taste, you'll have to hear the bands he wished he would have seen.

KC & The PearlJam Band

Kristopher "KC" Campbell, owner of VOX DJ's, went to see Pearl Jam for his first ConcertZero. There was only one problem, he and his friend arrived as the iconic band was signing off but it still counts. KC has seen many concerts since then and lists Coldplay and The Backstreet Boys as a few of his favorites. He also tells a hilarious story, to host Scott Ramsay, that he once used Scott's company name to get into a show. (Yes...Scott Ramsay does have a day job) 

”Staging Guru To The Stars”

Host Scott Ramsay coined Bob Hughes as the "Staging Guru To The Stars" but he should be called "The Man With The Music Stories". Bob, whose day job is Vice President at All Access Staging & Productions, has a great story about his ConcertZero, where he used his height to his benefit. (a few others benefited too) Bob has worked with numerous artists in his career but tells Scott about the special relationship he had with Van Halen.

The Answer Is Yes, No Duh

Rodney Pino, drummer for numerous bands including No Duh - The Ultimate Tribute To No Doubt, believes his ConcertZero was the legendary progressive rock band Yes but it could've been classic rock behemoth Led Zeppelin. Rodney also tells host Scott Ramsay that his first gig was at a famous California theme park and you'll have to hear who his favorite live band is. Rodney is also the owner of Grooveworks Studios.
